The mosque is the place where Muslims both males and females pray to God in a congregation.  There are Millions of mosques all over the world.  The most important mosques in Islam are three:

• Al-Masjid al-Haram (the sacred mosque) in MakkahÊ

• Al-Masjid al-Nabawi (the Prophets mosque) in MadinahÊ

• Al-Masjid al-Aqsa (Al-Aqsa Mosque) in Islamic JerusalemÊ

Athan (Call to the Prayer), it is done before every prayer to inform others in specific words that the time for a prayer has begun.
